What are the the different characteristics of the technologies supporting creativity in the five creative industry sectors (Art, Design, Media & e-Publishing, Games and Architecture)? What are the advantages, disadvantages, threats and opportunities particularly in terms of capacity to handle new creativity approaches and tools, making use of the contemporary ICT capabilities?
By answering those questions, CRe-AM partners identified the technology gap between desired future technologies and probable future technologies, providing initial inputs for elaborating the recommendations for future research and implementation.
In almost any creative sector, the analysis has shown gaps in technologies supporting virtual collaboration through intuitive tools allowing creators to collaborate, share ideas and generate new artefacts. Innovation in these creativity-supported tools which will have a significant social impact by enabling different groups of people to communicate creatively and improving the existing skills of creative people. Technologies for democratic creativity is of central importance.
