New CRe-AM workshop in Barcelona ! Register now0 1 February 11, 2014
The city of Barcelona has a vibrant creative community experimenting with new technology and science and that is the main reason why CRe-AM decided to organise its second workshop in this city, in colocation with “The Creative Citizen”, an ICT & Art Connect event, and the inauguration of the BarcelonaLab, a ‘creative hub’ gathering a number of local actors.
The event will take place at Fabra i Coats – Barcelona Creation Factory, a cultural facility based in an old factory that gives support to creativity, talent and innovation in the city, from January 20 to 21 and will be rooted in the local reality, able to spark off a valuable connection between the EC-funded project and the local everyday creative practice.
During this event, CRe-AM will offer a highly interactive workshop in which the current state of the art of the games industry will be analyzed. Highlighting the main differences among games, serious games and gamification, participants will try to understand together which kind of barriers prevent a wider use of these tools in different business sectors where they could be beneficial. With a highly participatory approach, different games/serious games will be plaid and personal experiences will be shared and discussed in order to identify and describe new scenarios where games can be adopted. The workshop will last about 2 hours and it is opened to any participants of the BarcelonaLAB interested in games and serious games.
